Stephen Clair offers strikingly beautiful natural wood flooring. There is nothing that can compare to the look and feel of a real wood floor, it's elegance and the atmosphere it creates in a room. We specialise in solid wood and engineered flooring. Our extensive range of pre-finished and unfinished wide plank boards and parquet include Oak, Walnut, Maple and many exotic woods like Ipe and Jatoba. Also we have an ultra modern range which include heat treated Thermo Oak, Textured Oak and End Grain Timbers. Our range of engineered boards are up to 300mm wide and can be fitted by either floating or glueing down and are suitable to lay over underfloor heating. A service we offer that most wood flooring company's don't is under-cutting of skirting boards which is shown below. This technique is done by cutting away the bottom of excisting skirting boards with a specialist saw to allow the new wood floor to be fitted underneath, this eliminates the removal of original skirtings or the need for beading. |
Under Floor Cutting
For the floor to fit well, we can undercut the jambs so that the flooring can slide underneath the skirting. Even though the flooring will run under the jamb it won't be tight to anything, so it will still have room to expand.
